Volunteer Appreciation
In April, Voice of Albertans with Disabilities (VAD) proudly hosted a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon to recognize the incredible individuals who dedicate their time, energy, and compassion to supporting the disability community across Alberta.
The luncheon was an opportunity to celebrate the many volunteers who help make VAD’s programs, events, presentations, outreach initiatives, and advocacy work possible throughout the year.
Volunteers contribute in many ways, including:
Community outreach
Disability Awareness Presentations
Event support
Resource fairs and BBQs
Board and committee participation
Advocacy and community engagement
The event brought together staff, board members, volunteers, and community supporters for an afternoon of appreciation, connection, and recognition.
VAD would like to sincerely thank every volunteer who continues to support our mission of creating a more accessible and inclusive Alberta. Your dedication helps reduce barriers, strengthen community connections, and improve the lives of individuals with disabilities every day.
As an organization built on community involvement, VAD recognizes that volunteers are at the heart of so much of the work we do. Whether assisting at events, sharing lived experience through presentations, or helping individuals navigate services and supports, your contributions truly make a difference.
Thank you for helping us build stronger, more inclusive communities together.
